Its a beautiful Sunday morning for sharing some parachute thoughts, welcoming myself again after a couple of months in hiatus from the world of blogging.
Well, just wanted to say hello again, and I will share some quotes that I took from a forum post, movies, and a song, that I compiled just for the pleasure of having them printed in my shirts (Kairoe) one day.
Here they are:
- "Money is good! but its not always everything!" - This is from a post on t-shirtforum.com which I forgot the URL (Will update this later, I thought It was from Time Magazine)
- "Its been 65 years, and it passed by like a blink" - Meet Joe Black
- "Susan: What do we do now?
Joe: It will come to us" - Meet Joe Black
- "William: Do you know about money?
Joe Black: It can't buy happiness?" - Meet Joe Black
- "You don't know me, but I know me." - The Notebook
- "Things don't have to be extraordinary to be beautiful, Even the ordinary can be beautiful." - Wicker Park
- "I hate you because I love you so much" - From a song and I forgot the name of the band (Will update this later)

For about two weeks, I found myself in a state of idle mind, with no motivation to write, its just that there's no specific topic to begin with, so I ended up recalling my experience last Friday.
We had a meeting through phone patch and ... its a long story but to cut the story short, An office mate advised me after the meeting that it's a best practice to mute the microphone of the telephone when you're not talking in a phone patch meeting.
We'll another lesson learned, experience is the best teacher.
Before I end this, I found a quote that really inspired me and I will share it to you.
"Thank you everyone for supporting the reunion of the Eraserheads, we however regret to inform you that due to my brother's poor health because of the emotional and physical stress that his been experiencing, we apologize for cutting the concert short, my brother had to be rushed to the hospital for medical attention, again we apologize and thank you all of you for coming here tonight."
This was the announcement made by Lally Buendia, Ely's sister, after the Eraserheads reunion concert held at The Fort Open Field was cut short. Ely was rushed to Makati Medical Center due to chest pains and overfatigue that according to reports, made him collapsed after the first set of the supposed to be thirty song concert.
I was there!!!
I was there around 8:00 p.m. last night (August 30), and I was upset at first because my belt was confiscated by security bulldogs around the general admission entrance, because it had metal on it. The place was a full-packed, and everyone were so excited as the count down was flashed on the big screen, signifying the number of minutes for the concert to commence.
It brings back memories of my high school days, my freshmen year, at the University of Mindanao's school canteen at Bolton St., eating noodles, when I first heard their song "Pare ko" from their Ultraelectomagneticpop album, and as I looked at them at the concert, there's alot of reflections and memoirs in my head, that made me miss those wonderful years in the era of the Philippines most influential and prominent Pinoy rock band of the 1990s, the Eraserheads.
At the count of 00:00:00, the lights went out, the fans screamed their hearts out, and those screams are saying, this is it! this is what we've been waiting for a very long time, the music, the talented individuals behind the guitars, the bass and the drums, a reunion of Ely, Buddy, Marcus and Raimund, then "SA WAKAS..." flashed on the big screen.
I heard Tug! dug! tug! dug! tug! dug! tug! dug!, as fans were yelling woooooooohhhhhhh!!!, with mixed emotions and it was really a great feeling seeing them live for the first time (for me), then lights went out again, and there it goes they are being elavated on the stage, as they started playing "Alapaap", and everyone on my right side started jumping, like kids on the loose, as a gesture of how happy they were as they sing along with the first song of the reunion concert. Most of the audience, anchored their friends shoulders, like "hey buddy remember those times when we were...there, like this, and like that..."
I love way the way Raimund revived his green colored hair, It really reminds me of their poster on a songhit mag that I can't buy that time, due to the limited allowance my parents gave me. Well luckily I memorize the song lineup from the first set that includes,
Alapaap, Ligaya, Sembreak, Hey Jay, Harana, Fruitcake, Toyang, Kama Supra, Kailan, Wag Kang Matakot, With a smile, Kaliwete, Shake Yer Head, Huwag mo nang itanong, and Light Years.
Although the concert was cut short after the first set, I am still satisfied. I am grateful, that once in my lifetime, I saw them perform live, and was part of an event that would become a page on the Eraserheads history.
Hope Ely is fine and well soon. I remembered him quoting "They try to tell us were to old, to old to really be to young..." while starting the song Toyang that really amused me.
As a fan I am thankful and blessed. As a songwriter, they will always be on the top of my musical influences, and they will always be remembered by the next generations to come.

With all these in our dreams and ambitions, have we asked ourselves why it is so hard to obtain this kind of things? just by plainly working in a certain small to medium to big companies especially here in the Philippines? Why does a few people get rich?, an average belongs to the middle class? and massive individuals are poor? Are we really destined to be a mediocre? or worst, nothing, in terms of wealth?
I myself have asked this questions a lot of times, because I am also a struggling individual in search for answers that would lift up my spirit with regards to my financial stability. I mean, I wanted to have a good wealth too, I wanted to be financially stable, to the point that I would be able to just sat on the side of a coconut tree, in a beach sipping coffee while watching the beautiful shore, wearing that expensive Rayban sunglasses. Everybody wants that, and its not bad.
Before I came here in Manila, on my previous company, Rany Laigo a former colleague and a friend of mine, introduced me to a book entitled "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kayosaki with Sharon L. Lechter, a book that change my perspective towards Financial Education. What interests me the most is the way Robert presents the story regarding with his two dad, his Rich Dad and his Poor Dad, and the difference between the two of them, that ultimately opened my mind about my blindspots with financial literacy, how important it is?, how the rich people utilize it? and more importantly how it can improve your life?
It really takes dedication to take that step in making ourselves financially intelligent. In the book Robert offers a lot of insights and examples especially with cashflows, also he reveals what the rich buy, that makes them richier that the poor usually know nothing about, and explains the term "Rat race", "Money works for you" and what is it all about.
Every person in the world has the right to become rich, but first we need the right tools and resources that would lead us on how to begin/start and become the right person to deal with challenges the rich people usually face and there are tons of them out there, thats why I am sharing and recommending this book to you guys because this is one of them.
Lets help our self first, so that in return we can help others after.
Are you tired of listening to same tune on the radio?
I was tired as well, that's why I create my own music, and do some recording, using my mp3 player, which I bought for 990 pesos from a local computer shop here in Mandaluyong, also with the aide of an audio editing/mixing/recording software. And thats the nice thing of being Indie, you do stuff on your own rules, limitations, expectations, that let your natural creativity mould masterpieces.
Recently, though late, I'm hooked to the tune of Up Dharma Down especially when I first heard the song "Oo", in an unending search for a good musical inspirations and influences. They had this catchy and contagious music, that made my ears want to hear something more of the band's arsenal. The vocalist Armi Millare, had a powerful voice that compliments to the rest of the guys, Carlos Tanada, Ean Mayor, and Paul Yap skillful playing.
They will released their second album "Bipolar" soon. So for you guys out there who knew the band late (Like me), Let's watch out for it, and support Original Pilipino Music.

I miss those years in high school, it was 1994, when a friend and a classmate introduced me to nirvana, and the grunge music. It was the talk of the room, there's no youtube those days, "All Apologies" was the first music I've heard from them, "Smells like teen spirit" comes second", thanks to MTV.
I found this rare music video on youtube where Kurt is actually doing the singing while on drums, Dave on bass and Krist on Guitar, with the song "Seasons in the sun" originally by Terry Jacks.
R.I.P. Kurt.
Well just wanted to share this one to you guys out there, because this girl knows how to use good chords and wrote poetic/sensible lyrics.
Oh she said she's from Sydney, Australia.
Enjoy!
John Frusciante is a well known guitarist for the band Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He is also a singer, song writer, and record producer. A devoted fan turned RHCP's guitarist after original guitarist Hillel Slovak died of speedball overdose.
Because of the sudden popularity of RHCP during Blood Sugar Sex Magik era, too overwhelmed that made Fruciante struggle to cope with the newfound fame, he decided to leaved the band.
Despite being hooked to heroine and cocaine during the early to middle 90's, he managed to get cleaned, and returned to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and recorded their seventh studio album "Californication". While being with RHCP, he also wrote song's for his solo project and release 10 albums since 1994 to date.
As no. eighteenth in 2003 Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 guitarists of all time, folks, heres John Fruciante, with his song "Goals".
